Pick a map, an aircraft and a job, and get a mission: a target with real-looking coordinates, the SAMs around it, a route, a comms plan, weather, fuel numbers and a loadout. Fly it as a briefing on top of a quick mission, or build it in the Mission Editor with the checklist at the bottom. Every mission has a seed, so you can share the exact same one with your wingman.
The generator places the target near a real hostile airfield or town on the map you picked, at a random offset, and puts your flight on a friendly airfield within reach. Bearings are true, distances in nautical miles, coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes, the way the F-16 and the Hornet like to have them typed in. The SAM ranges are rough planning numbers, not the real envelopes.
Download .miz builds a real DCS mission: your flight in the air over the home field with the route as waypoints, the SAM sites and the target placed at the briefed coordinates, red fighters on CAP, an AWACS and a tanker in orbit, the weather and time from the briefing, the briefing text in the mission description and the kneeboard page built in. Save it in Saved Games\DCS\Missions\, open it once in the Mission Editor to check it, and fly.
Single player puts you in the lead jet with AI wingmen. Multiplayer makes every jet in the flight a client slot: host it from Multiplayer, New Server, and your wingmen pick their seats. The flight starts airborne, so there's no airfield-specific parking to get wrong. Only the F-16 gets its loadout from the file; the other jets arrive with fuel and empty pylons, so set those in the Mission Editor's payload tab. The tanker has no TACAN beacon yet. This is a first version: tell me what breaks.
The kneeboard button makes a 768 by 1024 page with the route, coordinates, frequencies and threats. Drop it in Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\ (or a subfolder named after your aircraft, like F-16C_50), and it shows up on the kneeboard in the cockpit.
More Viper things on the DCS page, including a HARM attack display you can play with.
